Here's what Manual Scan played at their show in San Diego on December 18 at The Casbah. The night's bill included Swive, The Film Company and Tamar Berk, with guest singer Gary Hankins joining Manual Scan for a tune. Bart Mendoza was inducted into the San Diego Hall of Fame on September 27, alongside John Reis, Rosie Flores, Bob Magnusson, The Dinettes, Eulogio Fos and Kamou Kenyatta. Bart Mendoza performed two songs with True Stories to close out the first half of the show:

R.I.P. Tom Ward

Via Facebook: Very sad San Diego news: R.I.P. bassist Tom Ward, perhaps best known for his time with The Nashville Ramblers and The Gravedigger V, and also as a key member of Manual Scan during the mid 1980's and the "Lost Sessions" EP. And much, much more. An incredible musician, a wonderful man, Tom really knew his stuff, we shared some amazing adventures on the road - a radio station date in Fresno stands out, but we always had a good time. Tom, thanks for everything, you will be missed.

The Slightly Jaded Black Cat Bar Debut!

On August 15 a new band debuted at IPO 2025 / The Black Cat Bar: The Slightly Jaded, which includes Bart Mendoza (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) and Be Reilly (lead guitar), Matt Mielczarek (bass), Simon Leader (drums) and Billy Tisch (keyboards, harmonica, flute), with Donna Daly sitting in on a cover of the Velvet Undergrounds song "Femme Fatale."
