True Stories with Johnny Vernazza of the Elvin Bishop Group perform "Fooled Around and Fell in Love"!

Sounds Like San Diego VI was held on July 11 2014 at the Museum of Making Music in Carlsbad, CA - the event included a performance from True Stories with special guest Johnny Vernazza (formerly of the Elvin Bishop Group) - here he performs one of the classics he originally played on, "Fooled Around And Fell In Love" (#4 / 1976), as heard in the film, Guardians of the Galaxy. The band this night featured Bart Mendoza, David Fleminger, Danny Cress, Orrick Smith, Scott Mathiasen and Normandie Wilson. Video by Sherri Allen. Vernazza is now a San Diego resident - In 1973 he recorded part of the Elvin Bishop Group album, Still Smokin', at the San Diego Civic Center.

A new video for the Shambles version of "Warm This Winter" has been posted. The original song was by Connie Francis (1962), this version features Bart Mendoza (all vocals, rhythm guitar), Kevin Ring (lead guitar), Mark Zadarnowski (bass) and Brad Barker (drums). Produced by Mike Kamoo at Earthling Studios in El Cajon, CA.
