California Hall of Fame Induction with Ron Dante, Rick Derringer, Merrilee Rush, Joey Molland and more!

The California Hall of Fame held it's opening ceremony on September 23 at the Golden Bears Theater in Temecula. Bart Mendoza was a presenter, introducing Col. David Pavey for Terry Sylvester's (The Hollies) induction. The host was TV and radio legend Wink Martindale. Amongst the present inductees, were Cannibal & The Headhunters with Laurie Beebe Lewis (who backed all the performers), Joey Molland (Badfinger), Terry Sylvester (The Hollies), Dennis Tufano (The Buckinghams), Ron Dante (The Archies), Rick Derringer (The McCoys), Larry Tamblyn (The Standells), Merrilee Rush, Mike Pinera (Iron Butterfly) and Ed Sanford / Johnny Townsend (The Sanford Townsend Band). Laurence Juber (Wings) as also inducted but didn't perform until the closing song. DJ Shotgun Tom Kelly was also inducted, with 1970's TV favorite Rodney Allen Rippy amongst the presenters.
